Strawberry Milkshake Cupcakes

These amazing little cupcakes will definitely give you that lucious, creamy, sweet strawberry milkshake vibe. Be careful - you'll probably get addicted quickly!

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 3 eggs + 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup malted milk powder I use Carnation

STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE WHIPPED CREAM

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 3.3oz box Sonic Strawberry Milkshake Pudding Mix (or 1/2 cup + 1 T strawberry milk powder)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Place cupcake liners in muffin pan and grease lightly.
  • In a bowl with a whisk, combine the cake ingredients and beat until just mixed.
  • Fill each cupcake liner 3/4 full of batter and bake for 15-21 minutes.

MAKE THE WHIPPED CREAM

  • Place mixing bowl and beater in the freezer for 2 minutes.
  • Remove, and beat heavy whipping cream until it just starts to thicken.
  • Add pudding mix and powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  • Frost your cupcakes, and garnish with more whipped cream, sprinkles, and a fun straw!

Notes

I made a 1/2 batch of regular whipped cream to top my cupcakes - 1 cup heavy whipping cream + 2.5 T powdered sugar.
