These sugar cookies offer a fun, refreshing and unique kick, with a dash of lime!
Ingredients
2/3cupbuttersoftened
1 1/2cupssugar
2eggsroom temp.
2Tablespoonsfresh lime juiceabout 1 1/2 squeezed small limes
2 3/4cupsflour
1/2teaspoonbaking powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2cuplime zestabout 6 small limes

Instructions
Preheat that oven to 350, and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In your mixer, cream the butter and sugar until it's light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the lime juice and mix well.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt and add it, gradually to the wet mixture.
Finally, add in your lime zest, mixing well until fully incorporated throughout the dough.
Either create balls then flatten them slightly for round cookies, or roll out with a bit of flour and use cookie cutters. These awesome holiday cookie cutters are perfect for this recipe!
Bake for about 8-10 minutes, until they just start getting that golden lining around the edges. They'll look like they aren't done in the middle, but they are -just take them out and let them cool off to set.
As they are cooling, sprinkle with festive green sprinkles!
