Twix Fudge

My favorite candy bars are Mr. Goodbar, Twix, and regular Kit Kat. I’m a pretty basic, non-complicated girl when it comes to candy. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but those are what I grab when I get the urge! Did you know Twix makes a really fun and yummy seasoning blend?  You can score the Twix Seasoning at Walmart or Amazon… lots of places have it now. I use it on ice cream, in my coffee, in my Twix Cupcakes, and you could totally use it for this yummy recipe, too! It’s a SUPER simple recipe – just crush, microwave, spread, and enjoy!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 2 cups animal crackers (crushed)
  • 6 tablespoons butter (melted and cooled)
  • 11 oz caramel bits (or 35 pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semisweet OR milk)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • pinch of salt
  • Optional: Twix Seasoning

MAKE THEM:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper

Crush the animal crackers (I LOVE the ones at Aldi!) and mix in with the melted and cooled butter.

Press down in the baking pan evenly and pat down so it’s stable and firm.

Bake 5-7 minutes or until it just begins to become more golden.

Let sit on a cookie rack.

In a microwavable bowl, combine the caramel bits and heavy whipping cream. Microwave and stir in 30 second increments until melted and smooth.

In another microwavable bowl, combine the chocolate chips,  condensed milk and salt. Microwave and stir in 30 second increments until melted and smooth.

Pour 1/3 of the melted chocolate mixture over the animal cracker crust and make it smooth and even.

Pour the entire caramel mixture over the first layer of chocolate and smooth out.

Pour the rest of the chocolate mixture over the caramel and make it smooth and even.

Optional: Sprinkle some Twix Seasoning on top for added fun!

Let sit in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars and enjoying!

Jeni’s Disclaimer: I’m just a regular girl.  I love to drink wine while I bake.  I’m by no means a professional baker or pro photographer. My creations aren’t staged, they just are what they are, and that’s probably obvious from the pictures.  I create my recipes from inspiration of scents and flavors around me. I also repurpose my grandma’s old recipes. If you love to bake and your food ends up looking like REAL food, and not like something you’ll see on Instagram, you’re in the right place.
