How about a family meal tonight, that involves the whole family? Teppanyaki is a Japanese style cuisine, that uses a griddle to create a meal. The entire family can stand around the griddle, making sure each element is cooked to their liking, then serve it up themselves. There are tons of variations of Teppanyaki, but here is one that any veggie fan will really enjoy! Add spices to your meats and veggies, as you like – salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder or dry rub are popular choices.
1 Eggplant
2 Zucchini
2 Squash
1 Yellow Onion
8 oz Mushrooms
2 (6 oz each) Fillet Mignon
1 pound Raw Shrimp
2 Sticks of Butter, cubed
Fire up the griddle to about 400 degrees.
Cut eggplant, zucchini, squash and onion into rounds. Place sticks of butter on the grill, a few at a time. You’ll want a lot of butter for this, so keep adding more butter throughout. If you want to season your meat or veggies, do that now, before placing them on the griddle. Put all of the vegetables on the griddle, and allow them to start cooking. Flip them over several times, and continue to season while grilling. Add meats last. Each member of the family can flip and cook the pieces they want, to their liking! Have fun, create some memories, and enjoy your new favorite meal!
