Wanting something that is filling, hearty and just good for you and the family? You need to try this soup. It makes a bunch (this recipe fills a 12-quart pot), so you can freeze it and have a meal for later or have a bunch of friends and family over while watching football or your favorite sport!
3lbs hamburger
1lb sausage
2 jars of salsa
2 pks of taco seasoning
2 pks of ranch dressing seasoning
1 can of sweet corn
1 can of pinto beans
1 can of black beans
2 can of dark kidney beans
1 can of chili beans
1 cans of northern bean
2 can of light kidney beans
1 can of black eyed peas
a glass full of water
Brown the meat; drain. Add the salsa, taco and ranch dressing seasons packages, mix. Add full can of chili beans, juice and all. In a strainer open and dump all cans of beans and corn in ….rinse with cool water. Make sure you have a HUGE pot…. this recipe makes a lot. I use a 12-quart pot. Dump beans into the pot a little at a time… mix in the meat mixture and more beans and mix into the mixture. Finish putting the rest of the beans and corn into the pot and stir all together really well… make sure you add the one glass of water. Put on low heat making sure to stir every once in awhile so it does not stick to the bottom of the pot and let it cook for at least 2 hours – the more time, the better!
Your family and friends will smell the hearty soup cooking and be waiting at the table with hungry bellies. You can also add cheese, sour cream and chips to it when you serve. Its v’er. Very good!!! I hope you enjoy this!!
