We’ve all had those days where we set out meat for a meal, and plans change. That’s what happened to us, with a few steaks we had in the fridge. Instead of grilling them up and having a steak dinner, we did something a little differently – and it actually saved a TON of time and money, because we used what we already had in the fridge and pantry! This recipe takes about 10 minutes to put together, and about 7-8 hours of cooking time in your slow cooker. It’s the perfect meal for the entire family, and will tickle your tastebuds, for sure! The sauce has a sweet and smokey flavor that mixes perfectly with rice.
24-32 oz of steak (about 4-5 small steaks)
1 can kidney beans
1 6 oz can tomato paste
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
1 1/2 cups water
1 beef stew seasoning packet
White Rice (we used Boil in a Bag rice)
Brown the steaks in a skillet over medium head for about 8-10 minutes. Slice into small pieces. Place steak pieces, kidney beans (do not drain), tomato paste, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, bouillon cube, water and seasoning packet into a slow cooker for. Cook on low for 7-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours. Serve over white rice or potato, and enjoy! See more of our easy, fun and delicious creations HERE!

VERY easy! It’s amazing how easy it is to create a recipe, when you use what you already have in hand, too! Hope you make and enjoy it!
Yum! It sounds even better when you can make it in the slow cooker!
Absolutely!! SO EASY!
Does the steak need to be fully cooked on the skillet first?
Nope! Just browned – about 8 minutes (4 on each side) should be just fine!
I love a good slow-cooker recipe. This one looks like a keeper. I’ll give it a try.
