Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars Recipe

Salty snacks are my weakness.  Give me popcorn, pretzels, potato chips,  peanut butter…. anything salty. In fact, I’ll pick one of those treats over a sweet snack any day! That’s actually why I created my Salty Snacks Cookies. I have always, always had a love for peanut butter –  and I attribute that love to the saltiness of it. I put peanut butter on pretty much everything, and  I’m not ashamed of  that! 🙂

I wanted to make something that celebrated my adoration of peanut butter AND salty snacks, so I came up with these fun and SUPER easy to make Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars!  I hope you love them as much as I do!

What you need:

  •  1/2 cup unsalted  butter (melted)
  • 2 cups pretzels (crushed)
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons heavy  whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (optional)

Make them:

Line a 9×13 pan with aluminum foil and lightly coat with with cooking spray.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the melted butter, pretzels, powdered sugar and peanut butter until well combined.

Pat down into the prepared pan evenly.

In the microwave, melt the whipping cream and chocolate chips until smooth.

Pour over the peanut butter mixture, and sprinkle with sea salt.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Let sit for 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Jeni’s Disclaimer: I’m just a regular girl.  I love to drink wine while I bake.  I’m by no means a professional baker or pro photographer. My creations aren’t staged, they just are what they are, and that’s probably obvious from the pictures.  I create my recipes from inspiration of scents and flavors around me. I also repurpose my grandma’s old recipes. If you love to bake and your food ends up looking like REAL food, and not like something you’ll see on Instagram, you’re in the right place.
