Well, hello there, my lovelies! It’s a great Monday morning for me (Jeni), because I had an awesome weekend! I went to Hobby Lobby, and absorbed all of the beautiful Christmas stuff they have out now. If you aren’t familiar with Hobby Lobby, it’s an arts & crafts store with furniture and home decor, too. They go ALL OUT for Christmas, so I get excited to visit 🙂
Did you know they have Christmas jewelry!? It’s so much fun! They have earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and even tons of charms to create your own tennis bracelet. I found some online, but there’s more of a selection in-store. I got a snowflake bracelet and these adorable Christmas lights earrings – and yes, I wore them, even though it was 100 degrees outside yesterday! 🙂
Do you wear festive jewelry for any holidays?
I (Sarah) grew up with Dr. Seuss, like a lot of people…and absolutely LOVE everything about Dr. Seuss! I’m really excited now, because The Dr. Seuss Experience is coming to the United States!! Here are some of the super exciting details:
- Experience classic Dr. Seuss books in real life (The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, and more).
- 15,000-square foot space with 9 different rooms
- It will open in Toronto on October 26th, but hit Seattle, Houston and Boston later.
- All rooms are selfie-worthy and Instagrammable!
- The exhibit (and therefore the experience) will change in every city
- During the holidays, there will be a “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”- themed room.

Halloween junkies!! These Fire Skull Logs are THE item that could seriously step your spooky decor up a bit. I (Jeni) would FREAK OUT if I saw these! 🙂 They are for fire pits and fireplaces, and each one is 10-18 pounds, so they are built to last for multiple nights of burning. CREEPY! FYI – they are so popular this year, that Spirit Halloween sold out of them already!
What creepy decorations do you put up for Halloween?
This is hilarious! Some guy on a roller coaster caught an airborne iPhone while on the ride! Apparently, the phone was returned to the owner, and they were so grateful, they bought this video for the guy who caught it.
Have you ever lost something on a roller coaster?
I (Sarah) am sorry, but I seriously, really, ridiculously love this Cactus Coaster Set. It’s totally the simple things in life that make me happy! 🙂 Anyway, it’s a 6-piece set including the pot – and it’s super unique! Store the coasters inside the pot, or in different shapes like a cactus. FUN!
Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee. It’s a real thing! And you’ll drink it the same way you’d shoot Jäger – ice cold in a shot. It has all of the 56 herbs, blossoms, roots, and fruits as Jäger has in i t, with Arabica coffee and cacao. It’ll be out in January 2020 in the US and UK. Sounds interesting to say the least! If you’re a Harry Potter fan, get ready to screech and squeal (at least I, Jeni, did)!! There might be a new Harry Potter movie coming out, staring the original Harry, Ron and Hermione! There was a Broadway show, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It featured Harry and Draco’s kids. Warner Bros. wants that to be a movie with the original characters… and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see if it happens!
Which Harry Potter character is your favorite?
These Calendar Boards are the cutest ever! I (Sarah) am pretty good at remembering birthday and important dates. But this would just be a lot of fun to have. Plus, they are a personal piece of art, really, aren’t they? They come in tons of different styles (some are puzzles!) and are totally customizable, too!
How do you remember birthdays and celebrations?
Chicken Carbonera CUPS? Yep! This recipe is super fun and unique – and a great way to mix up your pasta night! The ingredients are yummy, the recipe sounds easy, and I (Jeni) love the use of spreadable chive & onion cream cheese, and lemon pepper in this!

I don’t really do creepy Halloween – more of a cute and non-scary theme is what I always go with. I visit Hobby Lobby often and didn’t even realize they had jewelry. Cool!

Hobby Lobby is such a dangerously fun place to shop! I would want so many things on their shelves. They are also running the Dr. Seuss Experience in Canada, too! I can’t wait to see it.

Oh my gosh – there is so much awesome info packed into one post! First, my son will be (hopefully) getting his license next month and I am looking for a Dashboard Car Mount so thank you for the suggestion! Secondly, those skull fire logs are probably the coolest thing I’ve seen for Halloween in a long time. I must order these for my best friends who are obsessed with Halloween and enjoying the outdoors and lastly I cannot wait to try those Chicken Carbonera cups! Genius!
