Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting!

I (Jeni) am not a pet person. I’ve had horses, a snake and fish – and that’s where I draw the line. I’m not a small mammal kinda gal. I love all animals, but that doesn’t mean I want them as pets, or want to cuddle with them. One of my quirks – anything that scurries, scares me. It freaks me out to see squirrels, mice or bunnies. I know, I’m horrible.
So, when my new roommate showed me her Chinchillas, I was glad to see they were in cages. They are really, REALLY cool to look at, because they are so different and unique – but I definitely don’t want them scurrying around in my room! These little creatures are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. They look like fat squirrels mixed with a kangaroo and a gerbil. Plus, they are super duper soft (so I’m told, because I won’t touch them). I can now say I live with Chinchillas, which is so weird but cool!
My roommate has several, and is selling them, if you’ve ever been interested in owning one! Just email me at thebinderladies@gmail.com for more info
What’s the weirdest pet you’ve ever owned?

So, as you probably already know, I, Clo, LOVE Disney. So when Disney’s newest movie, Zootopia opened March 3, I had to go watch it! Unfortunately, our single family-owned theater didn’t have it until last week Friday. So then we went! As soon as my little one got out of school we headed to the theaters, got our popcorn, candy and took a seat! We were both so excited to watch it. And you know what? It was really good! It grabbed our attention the whole time. We didn’t chat even one word throughout the whole movie! (Considering my movie date was a 9-year-old this was quite impressive.) It was filled with emotions, courage, friendship, bravery and so much more that makes a Disney movie, Disney. I highly recommend you watching it! I plan to go again before it leaves theaters. Zootopia isn’t just getting praise from me, but so many more! Did you know, Zootopia topped the box office 2 weeks in a row! Hitting over $130 million in the first week!! Since I’m a Disney blogger, I’ve been following the releases, you can find tons of cool activity sheets, posters, trailers, reviews and more HERE!

So, yesterday, I (Jeni) was skimming around on Facebook and saw this. It’s from BoredPanda, and too funny! This is ideas for kids’ Crazy Hair Days at school. The soda bottle cracks me up! Who thinks of this stuff? I never did anything like this when I was a kid – did you?
Do your kids have Crazy Hair Days? Do you go all out?

Haven’t watched zootopia yet but plan to when it comes to blu ray because I’m cheap like that.
I do the same thing, buy everything on DVD when it comes out. Cheaper than two movie tickets, popcorn, etc these days. It’s not being cheap, it’s being frugal.
Cool roundup post of fun topics! Regarding chinchillas….I think they are cute, but I personally can’t take care of one. I’m just too sensitive to the smell. I know my friend keeps one for a pet and she is loving him!
I’ve always wanted a chinchilla, but with 7 cats, I don’t think it’s a very good idea. I have never owned any “weird” pets, just the usual kind you can buy at petstores or adopt at the ASPCA.
Good morning everyone!
I’m not a pet person either, not at all. I grew up with pets: cats, dogs, Sea Monkeys, gerbil, hamsters, birds, but not all at the same time. Choose just one weird pet, yikes, that’s tough. I would say that the winner is the teddy bear hamster I had in seventh grade. It ate through the top of the cage (metal) and climbed down my dresser, and I felt something underneath me in bed and woke up screaming, turned on the light and my hamster was in my bed. There was evidence of his footprints on the dresser knobs which were freshly painted purple, so he scaled down a six drawer dresser, then climbed up the captain’s bed I had, to get under me while I was sleeping, crazy hamster. We donated him to my science class at school, he got out not once, but twice, the second time he went in the snake cage, that was the end of the hamster.
I can’t wait to see Zootopia, it sounds like so much fun! I am more excited about Moana and Finding Dory though, can’t wait!
We never had crazy hair days in school but we did have crazy feet days, and my aunt decorated a pair of slippers to look like Easter baskets and I won for my grade (third grade at the time). I remember all sorts of days like that at school, but we never did the crazy day.
On my mind today, I recently found the television show Fargo, and have already burned through the first season. Thank you Netflix. I am finding that I love the show even more than the movie!
Have a great day everyone!
We had a hamster for a while and I’m just now a small furry pet person either. We now have fish and I’m just fine with that!
My sister in law use to have a few chinchillas. I think they are really cute, but her’s always smelled really bad,

I’ll bet those little guys are as soft as soft can be, but they’re also rodent-like. I wouldn’t want them scurrying around either. lol
