The Golden Girls 04-23 Rites of Spring by golden-girls
Ok. I’m not a Spring chicken anymore, I know that. And what is a Spring chicken, anyway? Every decade, I claim that it’s the “new 20’s.” And every decade, my life seems fuller, richer and more crazy (which suits me just fine). I’m creeping up on another decade, and I’m starting to see it. I wondered when this was going to happen….and now….I’m falling apart! I’m not worried about getting older. I’m a Golden Girl at heart, and will always have a free spirit and be a big kid. But this body…. I’m really hoping that Jell-O butts are sexy, but I don’t really keep up with what’s “in.” As Dee says, “It looks like I have hail damage back there.” But you can’t take a plunger to pull out the craters on this bumper. And, tell me you don’t put a bra on and think, “21 year old boobs,” then take it off and think, “meh. 40 year old boobs.” Stupid gravity. Curse you! I don’t mind the crows feet appearing, because that means I’ve laughed and smiled a lot – and I DO. But when I find floppy skin and cellulite on my WRISTS or my KNEES, I have to admit…I’m getting older. So, in honor of aging gracefully, I put up one of my favorite Golden Girls episodes (above) for you to watch. The gym scene is the best, and I hope it makes you giggle like I always do!
Almost time to head to Mexico!
Time is flying by! Winston and I, Clo, just finished booking all of our onshore activities for our cruise to Mexico! I can’t believe it’s coming up in 9 days, how exciting is this.
Here is what we decided to book:
– El Arco, Scenic Stop & Glass Blowing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
– A Topless Bus Tour of Mazatlan in Mazatlan, Mexico
– Puerto Vallarta City Sights in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
The rest of our days will be spent onboard drinking, relaxing, hanging by the pool, counting the stars, celebrating Winston’s BIRTHDAY on Nov. 9, and just having a nice time.
There will be a black light party when we are heading back on Friday night. I still am searching for a white dress.. Winston found his white shirt, (of course right). I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and share it with all of you!

Uncle Steve’s Italian Specialties are amazing! I, Clo, recently got a huge box of pasta, sauces and more and the sauces are the best I’ve ever tasted! It even beats those high-end Italian restaurants, I go too. I was so impressed! I highly recommend you checking them out. Ohhhh yah! Chicken Tamale Casserole. This Chicken Tamale Casserole Recipe is so stinkin’ easy to make and SO yummy! It’s the perfect quick fix for a Friday night – plus, you can get a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, and ask the butcher to shred it for you, so you’re that closer to getting it in the oven! YUM!

We are always looking for brownie recipes without nuts because neither myself nor my boyfriend like nuts in our brownies or cookies, but generally then we end up with plain. Good morning everyone! I actually am getting to Morning Coffee in the morning (YEAH ME!) and it feels great. Halloween is approaching and all though my boyfriend and I loathe holidays, Halloween is the holiday that we both love. We plan to celebrate the day with loads of room service and scary movies in our costumes since we already had our main celebration at Sea World Spooktacular. My favorite part about Spooktacular this year was the new Sesame Street Halloween show. I could remember the Count’s song from when I was a little kid watching Sesame Street on television. I was captivated by the Count, Zoe, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and more dancing around on stage, even as an adult. It also reminded me that kids know how to behave as well, because the kids were silent in the audience whenever one of the characters was talking. I always say everything I needed to know I learned from Sesame Street and Disney and that’s so true, forget the line everything I needed to know I learned in kindergarten, ha kindergarten taught me nothing.
I never used to shop at sites like Zulily, but awhile back (I think it was last year) Zulily had a huge sale on Frozen merchandise and I picked up a canister of Frozen pens with grippers and a journal with a pen. Every since then, I’ve been a Zulily fan, I love that they often have Disney merchandise that you can’t find in stores and it’s generally A LOT cheaper than the Disney Store. I am super excited for Inside Out on DVD, because I have not seen it yet. I had to make a tough choice between preordering Inside Out or Jurassic World and because I am a huge Disney fan it made the choice even harder. I went with Jurassic World and I loved it, so I think it was a good choice. Hopefully I can count on Christmas to provide Inside Out, I’ll put it at the top of my wish list and hope my boyfriend gets the hint, lol.
I’ve never heard of Uncle Steve’s pasta sauce. I usually buy Newman’s Own, or at least I used to. My grandmother made the best spaghetti sauce in the world, and so I try to copy her recipe, but it never comes out tasting anything like her spaghetti sauce used to.
Another quiet day at the hotel and hopefully uneventful. I can’t wait to go home on Sunday and I can’t wait for Halloween. I’m in some pain with sciatica today but somehow going home, Ben and Jerrys Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream, and Halloween on the horizon is making it a great day!
