Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting!
It’s happened. Life has slapped me (Jeni) in the face. Not only is my iCoffee maker not working now, the regular coffee pot is acting all crazy. I feel like my life has taken a very dark turn at this point. This girl NEEDS coffee!! My blood is at least 25% coffee, and I fear the results and damage to my health without it. 😉
Don’t worry, my pretties. I’m still sitting here with my morning coffee for Morning Coffee….but it has a ton of coffee granules in it, and is a little chewy. I’m a trooper, though. I will get through this! I’m taking one for the team *takes sip* *cringes* because you guys are worth it! It can’t be Morning Coffee without my coffee, right!? That stupid red coffee pot….I’ve cleaned it, cleaned out the little dripper thing, and done everything I know how, as a coffee connoisseur, to fix it. But the grounds just bubble up, and end up in the pot! So, I have this thick, turkish coffee at the bottom of my mug (like syrup). If I wanted turkish coffee, I would make it. But I just want REGULAR coffee this morning. UGH! I need someone to hold my hand and tell me it will be ok…. *takes another sip* *cringes and smiles through the pain*
Does your coffee maker every go crazy? How did you fix it!?
So last week I, Clo, shared a bit about my life changes. I am working really, really hard to get fit and stay healthy. For my whole life I’ve struggled with my weight. I’ll admit I was never really ‘huge’ just obese and it’s made me very, very self-conscious. It still is affecting me today. I eat pretty well, I’m not a huge snacker, nor candy eater. I just have a hard time losing weight. But I’m finally 110% committed to making this work. I’ve been juicing, really watching what I eat, drinking kobucha and even joined the local gym. I know that even if I don’t drop weight as much as I’d hope for, that atleast I’ll be healthier and healthier means happier. Less doctor bills in the future, less self-esteem issues. It’s not going to be easy, but I know I’ll get it. I’d love some support on this. If anyone has any advice please reach out. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment below. I know that if I get support this will be a whole lot easier. Here goes nothing!

So, which would you rather??
I, (Jeni), am a coupon shopper. That means a TON of shopping bags. I don’t know how I ever lived without my Grocery Bag Carriers! These simply designed carriers will let you load up, without leaving indentations on your arm, or making you stumble into your house, dropping the bags as soon as you can!
I, Clo, have been going crazy setting up for the wedding.. I am just working on putting together my party favors and wanted to share a glimpse with you. Isn’t it just lovely?!! These are going to be all filled with Jellybeans and pretty much each guest will have one to take home. We just need to add ribbon and a label that has our names.. (Oh, we got the cute colorful jars from Ross, and the small white ones from Ben Franklin)
YES! Breakfast for dinner! This is happening in my (Jeni) house tonight! Eggs, potatoes, BACON, pancakes…and some bacon, too. I like a little breakfast with my bacon. I usually don’t have the time to make breakfast like this in the mornings, so having it for dinner is a big treat for me!
Do you ever have breakfast for dinner? What are your favorite breakfast foods?
If you’ve been watching the news, you probably heard about that precious little 9 year old girl that was kidnapped by her uncle. Sweet Carlie Marie Trent disappeared May 4, and it was later found that her uncle by marriage, had checked her out of school. He took her to a remote area in Tennessee, where they were discovered by a farmer on his land. That creep took her on an extended “camping” trip… but it was short lived, thanks to the bravery of strangers! Read the story HERE.
I (Jeni) have been following this story, and was SO relieved and excited that they found her ALIVE and well. She’s been taken to a hospital to get checked out…but I honestly don’t want to know any more, other than she’s ok. Just the thought of that man kidnapping her like that gives me chills. I’m so thankful that we have Amber Alerts and people that watch the news and pay attention, so children like Carlie can be found. Too often, the child ends up dead, but this was a VERY happy rescue for a change!
Clo’s thoughts on this: I heard about this and was very worried about Carlie. I have no idea what her ‘uncle’ had planned for her but I’m glad she’s OK and like Jeni said, I truly don’t want to know what he had up his sleeve. It’s so sad seeing all these deaths of little kids. She may be 9 but she’s truly just a baby. I don’t know what I’d do if my little one went missing. I panic when I lose my 9-year-old sister in Kmart! I think I’d be devastated.
