I (Sarah) love a scary movie. One of the best is a classic – The Shining. That was 39 years ago – can you believe it!? Anyway, did you know he wrote a follow-up book called Doctor Sleep? It was published in 2013 and now, it’s a movie!
Here’s the description:
“Doctor Sleep” catches up with Danny Torrance, who was a child in “The Shining,” as an adult. He now goes by “Dan” and uses his special psychic powers to predict when someone is about to die. Dan comforts them before they pass away, earning him the nickname “Doctor Sleep.”
When Dan (Ewan McGregor) meets Abra (Rebecca Ferguson), a young girl who shares the same special powers, he discovers The True Knot, a group of evil beings that seek to feed off their powers in a quest for immortality.

EEEEEK!! I (Jeni) have totally jumped on the alpaca and llama bandwagon lately. I can’t get enough! I was wondering about the difference between the two and was pretty surprised! Here’s what I found out:
- Alapaca ears are short and pointier. Llamas have longer, banana-shaped ears.
- Alpacas are lighter- around 150 pounds. Llamas can be up to 400!
- Alpaca faces look smushed. Llamas hav longer faces.
- Alpacas produce finer fibered hair and more fleece in lots of colors. Llamas don’t have as much hair on their heads and faces.
- Alpacas are herd animals and llamas are more independent.
- Alpacas are more skittish… llamas are sometimes used as guard animals for alpacas!
So, as I was reading about these fun creatures, I saw this amazing Airbnb! It’s the Luxury Llama Cottage Urban Farm in Hip E Atlanta. Then there’s the Atlanta Alpaca Treehouse. You’ve got to check these out – because you’ll get to hang out with llama and alpaca all day there! 🙂 SO FUN!

If you’re like me (Jeni), you love personalized gifts. I especially love GIVING them! And this Message in a Bottle idea is just too cute! It’s a little bottle filled with “pills” that open up. OMG this looks like so much fun! I (Sarah) have always loved stickers, but puffy stickers are my favorite. I would have LOVED this as a child. This is a Puffy Sticker Machine – DIY! It comes with the materials to make 60 puffy stickers and some are even able to be colored in by you. FUN!

Nestle just released a FUN new product for those of us (like me, Jeni) that love to bake! Nestle’s Chocolate Curls! They come in chocolate, red & white, and white chocolate. And omg these will totally make holiday baking so cute and pretty this year! You’ll be able to find them very soon at Target, Walmart and grocery stores.
What are your favorite cupcake decorations?
Yep. That’s a nut and bolt coffee mug! It’s simple, but perfect for the handyman, hard working, tool using guy in your life, for sure!
What do you gift the men in your life?
It might be way too hot to even prepare something in the oven, but I (Sarah) don’t care. I’m crazing something hearty and delicious. And I just found this awesome Pasta Chicken Broccoli Bake recipe. It feature cheese tortellini, pecans and red bell peppers… mmmm!

I had no idea that there was a second movie coming out for the shining! I cannot watch scary movies if I do I had horrible nightmares. But I do have a couple of friends that I know would love those movies.
Unless those pills are a lot bigger than they seem, I would be scared someone would swallow them LOL!
Doctor Sleep looks intriguing. I’ll probably go see it. And I would buy those chocolate curls just to eat. 😉

I would love to watch The Shining 2! I love the premise of the movie. I think the kids would love the Addams Family movie set for family movie night!

I loved the book Doctor Sleep, I remember getting it right when it came out as I was so excited about it. I look forward to seeing how they have made it into a movie as the book was so intense.

I am going to have to get some of the nestle chocolate curls. I’ve been baking lately and these would be perfect to add to my creations. I hope that I can find them at the grocery store.

I love that adorable idea of messages in a bottle! And I had to laugh when I saw that bunny with a full mouth! Doesn’t it always seem that restaurant staff come by to ask how everything’s going when your mouth is so full you just can’t talk?
