Welcome to Morning Coffee! We’re pretty happy you’re here this morning!
Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), sit back, and chill out for a bit with us this morning! We’re so happy you joined us for our morning coffee! We’ll meet you every weekday morning, right here on the blog, around 7am CST (5am PST, 8am EST) to share a cup of joe with you, talk about what’s on our minds, sneak in some awesome deals we spot, talk about our meal plans for the day, and anything else that comes up! Feel free to chat it up in the comment section, and tell us how you’re feeling, what’s going on with your life, current events, things you’re excited about or bummed out about, and anything else you want to chit-chat about. Not sure who we are? Head over to Meet The Ladies, to meet Jeni, and Reviews by Clo to meet Chloe (you can call her “Clo”!)

Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting Morning Coffee!
We woke up thinking about these things this morning!
The Slurpee. An American staple since 1965. It’s one of my (Jeni) favorite treats! I always get the same flavors – cherry and Coke. First, a squirt of cherry, then Coke, and then I layer it so it ends with cherry again. It’s an art, really. 🙂 I would have a Slurpee every day, if I could, but all that sugar needs to just be a treat for myself. Here are the times I think it’s appropriate to treat yourself to a Slurpee:
- You got a promotion at work
- You passed a test in school
- You braved the 110 Texas heat for more than 5 minutes without air conditioning
- You just got engaged
- You lost some squishy weight
- You’re making a fort with your bestie, and having a slumber party with Netflix and junk food
- You did the laundry
- You are thirsty
- You are a grown up, and want one.
There you have it. Those are the appropriate times to indulge in a refreshing frozen Slurpee! 🙂
What’s your favorite Summer treat?
Wine and painting. My two favorite things in the world with my most favorite person in the world. Recently Winston and I, Clo went to the Island Art Party and painted some koi fish. Mine in on the right and his is on the left. It was such fun — music, wine, painting, laughter. I wish we could do this more often. They even had free popcorn popping! What could be better right?!
It’s truly the little things sometimes that makes like so beautiful and so amazing. An hour paining class can be so much fun and was so spur of the moment. I have a few friends that have done painting and wine classes before and all had a blast. I highly recommend it if you have a place nearby.
If not, just grab some acrylic paint, blank canvas, paper plates, brush sets, and wine. It’s more fun with a partner, so grab one if you can! If not, more wine for you. 😉 Happy painting!!
Ever attended a paint and wine class? What did you paint?

What are we loving today? Here are some of our favorite things we wanted to share with you!
Looks like a movie poster right? That’s why I, Clo love hitting the beach at night to enjoy the night waves. It’s so enjoyable just laying on the sand watching the dark blue with white foam in the tan sand.
What’s your favorite thing at night?
An amazing acai bowl and healthy smoothie is a great pick me up before I, Clo head on my hike.
How to you charge up before you workout?
This would be SO handy for SO many people! The IllumiBowl Light Up Toilet Bowl was seen on Shark Tank (too cool!), and is motion activated. This is perfect for kids or those that stumble to the bathroom in the middle of the night and could use some help with … um…. aiming. You know who I’m talking about! 😉
ADORABLE! What a great way to entertain the kids, when going outside on boiling sidewalks and a blazing hot sun isn’t an option! How cool to have a little play area or to have a pretend camp ground in the living room! Loving the penguin tent! Check out all of the UGO pop up Kids Tents!
Here’s a great idea for dinner tonight!
Ready for an amazing week night dinner for the whole family? Check out how to make this easy-peasy Crockpot Chicken Parmesan!
What’s going on in the news today? Here’s one of our favorite articles!
How amazing right?! I, Clo have always wanted to skydive. I would’ve done it by now, but my husband has a fear of heights.. so we’ll see if this ever happens.
Anywho, skydiving is pretty amazing in itself so for a 87 year old grandma to skydive now that’s something. This daredevil 87 year old grandmother took a leap of faith for her birthday on Sunday.
It’s a real boost of encouragement for me. A huge reason for me to be working on my health now is that I want to be fit when I get older, I don’t want to go down hill so quickly. That’s why I’m fixing my health issues now.
I’d love to skydive on my 87th birthday if I have the option and I’m sure many of you would too!
Take a leap of faith, because we aren’t promised tomorrow.
Cute! Good for gramma! That takes guts, and it looks like she had a GREAT time, too! I’ve never been sky diving, but was going to go Airborne in the Army. I missed my chance, and will always wonder what it would have been like.
I’m not scared of heights….but I sure don’t like the thought of falling and hitting the ground. If I live to be 87, though – I think I would rock a pink, sparkly sky diving suit and rock this idea!
Get your morning going with some giggles and smiles! We hope these make you laugh and start your morning off the right way!
