We’re so close to the weekend, you guys! Today, it’s just a completely random mess of conversation … kind of like when we get together in person with our friends to chat! 🙂
NEW HERE? Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), sit back, and chill out for a bit with us this morning! We’re so happy you joined us for our morning coffee! We’ll meet you every weekday morning, right here on the blog to share a cup of joe with you, talk about what’s on our minds, sneak in some awesome deals we spot, talk about our meal plans for the day, and anything else that comes up! Feel free to chat it up in the comment section, and tell us how you’re feeling, what’s going on with your life, current events, things you’re excited about or bummed out about, and anything else you want to chit-chat about.
Fill up your cup, prop up your feet, and let’s CHAT!
I (Jeni) have a confession to make. And it’s kinda weird (so I’m told). I don’t like animals that scurry. You know… ones that dart around, move really quickly, and are unpredictable. I especially don’t like mammals and birds that scurry. Hey – we all have our weird thing, right? That’s mine (well… one of mine) 😉
Anyway, knowing that, you can now be surprised that I totally fell in love with a squirrel!! One of the scurriest (I made that word up and use it frequently, by the way) animals ever! Maybe I didn’t fall for HER….but the photos of her melt my heart!
Her name is Jill, and she’s 8 years old. She was rescued from Hurricane Isaac. And she’s so domesticated, one of her quirks is that she cuddles and sleeps with her own little teddy bear. 🙂 She’s not scurrying in the photos, so I am totally ok with that!
What animals are you scared of?
Normally, I (Sarah) hate to travel and spend time in the airport, but now, I think I changed my mind. Nintendo already started putting up pop-up airport lounges at select major airports in the US. They are Nintendo Switch On The Go Lounges that feature Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems for travelers to demo, plus the opportunity to purchase other Nintendo products. So yah – it’s a REALLY big marketing scheme, but I’m ok with that, as long as I can play.
They have charging ports, comfy seating, game demos and more. Sure beats reading magazines and listening to people snore under my seat at the airport! The bad news… they are only around until late March.
What do you do at the airport when you wait for flights?
Get a Baby Yoda (The Child) Plushie for just $26.98!! It will arrive to you in April. That’s 12 full inches of CUTE right there!
This is a Seven-Animal Pancake Machine! You’ll be able to create super fun and delicious shapes for your breakfasts 🙂 It’s just $34.95.
I (Jeni) love these! This site takes Yelp ratings of places and complies them to find the best of the best whatever in each state. This time, it’s BBQ! YUM! I grew up in California, but have lived in Texas for 24 years, so I definitely know great BBQ! Check it out!
Have you been to the restaurant they suggest in your state?

This is Mystical Fire! It’s a log that puts off colorful flames! How cool is this for your next camping adventure or back yard get together? You can even use these inside in your own fireplace… freaking COOL!
Do you camp?
OH MY GOSH. Italian Potato Wedge Nachos. Every single bit of that is AWESOMENESS! I (Jeni) am all about this unique recipe! And look at it – it’s beautiful with tomatoes, zucchini and tons of spices and cheese!
What’s on your menu today?
Don’t forget to join us every Wednesday for Happy Hour!

My kids would LOVE that Nintendo Switch area. I need to try a mystical fire this summer for sure. Pretty!
Oh, and I tend to not like spiders. They freak me out. My daughter doesn’t mind them so she’ll grab them for me if one comes in the house.
I particularly don’t care for squirrels. They are mangy, tear up everything they get their little grubby hands on. They tinkle all over my screens on my porch. They just do bad things. Ugh! BUT, the picture is cute. And the Baby Oda is just too cute.
Oh my goodness that squirrel is just the cutest – look at them with their teddy! I don’t know if it counts but I am petrified of moths and I can’t deal with them at all. It’s so irrational.
I love to travel and oh my word–a Nintendo pop up at airports is genius. I can’t wait for my next flight. I’ll have to look for it!
That Nintendo Switch area. would be a hit!! That is so very cool.
The Italian Potato Wedge Nachos looks so yummy. It would be perfect to make for my next gathering.
I love the baby yoda!
I love Jill the Squirrel!!! I also love the memes you post. These in particular made me laugh and I really needed a good laugh.
The baby Yoda! All day long! So incredibly cute and snuggly. But squirrels? Nope.
That squirrel is simply adorable. I just want to cuddle here. I didn’t know they were making another Indiana Jones.
OMG! That Baby Yoda plushie is so cute!! I’d love to grab it right now!
Squirrels can be cute but nasty critters when they make a home in your wall.
Those potato wedge nachos look so delicious.
The squirrel with the teddy bear is so cute I hope you have a great weekend!
That squirrel is adorable. We were at the boat show in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago and saw a waterskiing squirrel. It’s a rescue from Florida, and my daughter got to hold it.
These are great! I especially like the Baby Yoda and the Mystical Fire.
Aww..Jill is such an adorable squirrel! I am so glad to know that she is a survivor of Hurricane Isaac. And I am so loving that Seven-Animal Pancake Machine right now! I must have that.
I love reading the list! Every time I hear and read anything about Nintendo it brings back memories when me and sibs were in grade school.
How about: Indiana Jones saves the nursing home? Raiders is my most favorite movie of all time.
All of these are awesome, enjoyed going over them. Squirrels can be nice.
Love the squirrel and waffle maker! Such a great post with awesome things to try!
I recently re-watched Indiana Jones and had fun reliving memories. While it was fun to see it again, Harrison Ford is way too old to make another Indiana Jones. Cute squirrel, though I’m not sure I’d have one as a pet. Fun read!
