Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting with our Morning Coffee!
Check those out! These tree… um… dresses? are so cool! They are just fun decoration – not really dresses! I (Jeni) saw them last year at an At Home store, and have started seeing them pop up again this year! I checked it out on the website, but they are only available for sale in-store at At Home stores. It does, however, let you know what stores near you have them in stock.
Each is 5 feet high and $149.99 (surprisingly low price from what I expected!). Needless to say, these are definitely for the less traditional home during the holidays! Pretty awesome and unique, but I’ll stick with my classic live 8 foot Douglas Fir 🙂
Are you more traditional or try new things every holiday season?
I (Sarah) have always loved mood rings. I wore them as a kid, and recently discovered that the trend hasn’t ended! I’m so excited because I recently found some designer mood rings – who knew that would ever be a thing? These mood rings (and necklaces) from Kendra Scott are so beautiful!!
Some places even still sell mood rings like the ones I grew up with! It’s such a silly concept, because it’s not like you need a ring to show you how you feel… or to show others. But still, they were so cool!
Did you wear or do you still wear mood rings?
Check out these Sandwich Cutters! OMG they are too cute! This set comes with 29 pieces plus some bonus items for only $21.99.
This 3D Unicorn Coffee Mug is on sale right now from $23.99 to only $15.95!!!
Can we just stop and take a moment to appreciate the styles of the 80s? I (Jeni) was watching Facts of Life (because I’m an 80s addict, I admit it – plus, it’s an amazing series). I took a quick shot of this, because… high heels and frilly socks. Blair is ROCKING the heels and socks with a long dress look in this scene. Ahhhhh…. 80s…. why did you have to leave!?
What are your favorite trends of the 80s?
My (Jeni) sister could certainly use this in her house with 3 little girls! It’s the Mimish Storage Pouf! It acts as a fun bean bag type chair, but you can also store toys, clothes, pillows, blankets or whatever else you want inside of it. Clever!
How do you organize your kids’ messes?
Ok. Here’s a fun quiz…but fair warning – it’s pretty hard! Well, it was pretty hard for me (Jeni), at least! Match the house to the cartoon…. I only got 50% right, and honestly, I guessed at a lot of them.
What did you score!? Was it easy for you?
HOW COOL! These Animal Crackers 3D Cookie Cutters are so much fun! It’s a 12 piece set (6 animal bodies and 6 animal leg choices) and seems like a great family fun baking time for a fall weekend, doesn’t it?
Why kind of cookies do you make with your kids?
So there’s this company called Firebox that started making the “Face Licker.” This is a personalized candy, made after the photo you submit. These lollipops are a little creepy to me (Jeni) but I can think of some pretty fun reasons to get them made! Check them out – plus all of the other AWESOME and really fun Firebox products HERE. I don’t really want to lick my own face, but it sure would be a funny gift idea, right!?
Would you have a huge lollipop made in your likeness?
Mmmm mmmmm! I’ll say that again…. MMMMMMM mmmm!!!! I (Jeni) am making these amazing Fried Apple Pies tonight for dessert. They are ridiculously yummy and with fresh apples, you will find yourself eating way too many. Put in any other fruit you want in them, but at least make them! You’re welcome.
What desserts do you like making?
Don’t forget to join us every Wednesday evening at 4pm EST for Happy Hour!

oh my gosh i wish i had seen those tree dresses are so cool- i havent seen them yet so i hope to find some. my friends would love it in their home!
Pretty cute, right!?
Those fried apple pies look amazing. I had a mood ring growing up so I would love them for my kids. Those Christmas tree dresses look good but a little too bulky for my build
HAHHA!!! The dresses aren’t actually dresses, silly!
YES! Move over ugly sweaters, I’m about to get my dress on! If those aren’t the most holly jolly things EVER for Christmas, then nothing is.
BAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA you can’t actually wear them, though!
I’ll make it happen. I won’t be denied!
I love mood rings too! I became obsessed after the movie My Girl. I might have to get a grown up version.
I need to make a fried apple pie!
So cool – grown up version… lol
I think some of those 80’s fashions are making a comeback. I don’t think the frilly socks and heels will be one, but my daughter and her friends are wearing a lot of the same things I wore back then.
The face lickers look cool, but for $63, I’ll stick with regular lollipops and have some change leftover lol
Those tree dresses are actually pretty clever. It would be fun seeing those as decorations a party.
Can’t believe it’s that time of year they were starting to talk about the holidays and Christmas and all that stuff. I know it started but I’m not ready LOL. Those tree dresses are cute though.
I had a mood ring when i was a teen. I need to get one for my daughter, I bet she would love it too!
Is it already that time of year, to start looking for gift ideas for Christmas? I swear it was summer yesterday! I’m not sure about the tree dresses!
The unicorn mug. I need it.
Seriously, that mug is the coolest. I pride myself on my mug collection, and I think it would be a nice addition.
I love the 80’s too! Everything was bigger, brighter, and better! Neons, hairspray, and high tops for days.
Okay, I LOVE those Christmas tree dresses! I decorate my bedroom in pinks and golds for Christmas – it’s lots of florals and although Christmassy, it really suits a bedroom too if you know what I mean. Normally, I have a dress form in the corner but one of these would be perfect during the holidays!
I am definitely a traditional type of person when it comes to decorating for Christmas. That house matching quiz was harder than I thought. I got 72% correct and I did guess quite a few as well.
I’m very excited for the holidays. Those dresses trees are really neat. I need to see one of those in person! I would get one of those myself. I really like them.
Honestly, you guys find the coolest things! I remember mood rings from the 70’s. I loved my fashion from the 80’s. My daughter’s always yelling at me about why didn’t I save my clothes for her! lol.
Yeaaaaah, that lollipop is kinda creepy. Mine would look scary AF. But, I’ve already stalked the At Home Christmas selection. Guilty as charged.
Those two unicorn mugs are so cool! I want them! Perfect as a Christmas gift!
Those tree dresses are so unique! I absolutely love them and how each one is creative in its own way.
80’s music has always been my favorite to listen to other than country music. I have never seen that show from the 80’s though. I’d love to watch it.
That storage pouf looks so cool. I bet that would be perfect in my daughter’s room to help store some of her toys.
I love those dresses! I need the cushions! We have so many stuffed animals in this house its ridiculous!
I remember when the mood rings were a trend while growing up. It’s kinda crazy that they are still around but then again most trends seem to make a reappearance. Just look up VSCO girl. 🙂
I like the Sandwich Cutters. I can remember texting like that…..
There are so many interesting trees out there! Last year I saw one that had a peacock design. I guess it would be an interesting statement piece!
I’m a traditionalist when it comes to my Christmas tree, but I would love to see a Christmas dress that people could wear. (I wouldn’t wear that either, but I think it would be fun!)
I like making ice cream desserts.. that apple pie.. nice!
I want to try that apple pie! It looks so good! I may need to order that cookie cutter set.
OMG! You have so much fun stuff here, I love it! I think I need to get the face licker for a friend of mine LOL!
I can see having a Christmas tree dress if you have the room to put another one. Or if you don’t have kids.
