Complete Party Pleasers along the bottom, with some other friends visiting at the Berry Happy Home!

If you’ve been with us a while, you know that I (Jeni) am a huge vintage ’80s toy collector.  Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite that I collect.  I’m just in love with them!  I have the American dolls, sets and accessories – and this Christmas, thanks to my toy collecting boyfriend, completed my Party Pleasers collection!

The Party Pleasers came out in 1984 and introduced two new characters- Plum Puddin and Peach Blush (the two hardest to find, by the way). They had fancier outfits on and their pets even dressed up and held party accessories.

They  included in the Party Pleaser line were Almond Tea, Angel Cake, Apple Dumplin, Cafe Ole, Cherry Cuddler, Mint Tulip, Orange Blossom, Peach Blush, Plum Puddin, and Strawberry Shortcake…. and now I have them ALL!  WOOHOO!  Time to focus on my Brazilian collection now 🙂

Do you collect anything?

Jeni has Strawberry Shortcake – I (Sarah) have DISNEY!  DISNEY EVERYTHING!!! 🙂  So this new just about made me squeal with glee (it’s a very high pitched but happy sound)!  Disney just released a new kitchen collection that features the classics – Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

It’s all the essentials like salt and pepper shakers, kitchen towels, measuring cups and spoons, cookie jar, ice cream scoop, and even a cupcake decorating kit! You can get them at shopDisney or at Disney parks, but I’ve seen them at some Disney outlet stores, too.  Aren’t they the cutest!?

Who is your favorite Disney character?

How cool is this Sharper Image Word Clock!?  LOVE THIS CONCEPT!!!!  It will make a great gift for my (Sarah) boyfriend this year on his birthday!  It’s only $26.99, too!

These Studded Wrap Bracelets are soooooo cute! They come in 8 colors options and are just $6.99 + free shipping each!

My (Jeni) birthday cake for this year has been FOUND!!!  I don’t know where this came from, so I can’t even offer credit to the creator or photographer.  But a friend sent this image to me and I about died. IT IS AMAZING! I need this cake next year, for SURE! #birthdaygoals

Tell us about the most memorable birthday cake you’ve had!

This is the ULTIMATE Snuggie!!!  It’s a Catalonia Wearable Blanket, and it has some cool features.  For example, it has pockets.  It has feet like feetie jammies.  It has sleeves.  And it’s super cozy fleece.  Uh… it’s seriously like an ultimate Snuggie!  Plus, it’s under $25, which makes it even cozier! 🙂

Are you hot natured or cold natured?

This is for all of you wine fans out there!  Target is selling these really cool and unique products – I (Jeni) am wondering if it’s too early to grab some and drink some wine! 😉  They are Raspberry Sparkling Wine Fizzers… think about the fizzy bombs you put in your bath.  That’s what these are, for wine!  Even better – they release edible glitter into your drink!  FANCY!

What fun products have you found at Target lately?

I (Jeni) found this Morning Routine on Pinterest.  It’s from The Bullet Journal Addict, and I absolutely LOVE IT!  It’s effective and beautiful and for me, at least, I think it’s really motivating!  She has great tips on the site and I’ll totally be checking out more!

How to you inspire yourself every morning?  Do you have a morning routine?

Have you ever had Mochi?  I (Sarah) absolutely love Mochi Balls from My/Mo (in the freezer section of the grocery store).  They are delicious! I recently found this amazing DIY Mochi ice cream kit! I’m pretty excited to DIY some of these, but am not sure they will be as good as store bought 🙂

Do you DIY anything fun?

Meatball Chili with Dumplings. Um.  This could just be the perfect cozy winter comfort food!  I (Jeni) mean, the name has it all in there… meatballs, chili and dumplings!  Prep time is about 20 minutes and you cook it for nearly an hour… just imagine the scents coming from your oven…..

What’s your favorite comfort food?

Oh my, those little dolls are cute! Have never seen them being sold somewhere.. as you still collect them, are you only able to buy them “used”, or are they still sold “new”?

    • Jeni Hawkins Reply

Nope – they are used because they are all 40 years old! 🙂 They revamped Strawberry Shortcake in 2003 and again in 2015 (I believe), but they are totally different and ugly. I like the originals that I had as a kid!

  18. Hmmm I don’t collect anything because I’m scared of being a hoarder LOL. But if I had the room I would have all my books displayed.
