I admit it – I play with my food.  I love to create new dishes and experiment with fun, unique recipes.  One of the easiest ways to create something extra special is to think outside the box.  For example, make your favorite dip into a deep-fried appetizer.  Combine your favorite fruits with Greek yogurt and cereal for after-school bars.  Or, get really creative by taking your favorite Asian cuisine and turning it into a south of the border meal!

I took my favorite frozen food products – InnovAsian General Tso’s Chicken, and InnovAsian White Sticky Rice, and transformed them into my favorite Mexican dish – street tacos!  It took 30 minutes from freezer to plate to complete this meal, making it perfect for busy families that want something different and delicious.  The flavors are absolutely perfect together.  Those bold and spicy chilis in the General Tso’s chicken marry really well with the tangy creaminess from the coleslaw.  You’ll also get that tender chicken with the crunch of the slaw. Yep, this meal has a lot of texture, flavor and fun in it, that’s for sure!

So, here’s what you’ll need to make these ah-mazing street tacos! I guarantee, you’ll “WOW” your family with these!

InnovAsian makes their meals and sides super duper easy to prepare.  It’s only about 25 minutes in the oven for the General Tso’s Chicken, and 5 minutes in the microwave for the Sticky White Rice!  While those are heating up, you can prepare your coleslaw, if you don’t purchase prepared coleslaw.  Just grab a bag of dry coleslaw or cut cup cabbage, purple cabbage and carrots.  Mix 1/2 cup mayo with 1 tablespoon white vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.  Mix it up, and you have coleslaw!  Pop some of the chicken pieces in the street taco tortillas, then top with coleslaw.  Prepare a bowl of the Sticky White Rice as a fitting side dish, and violá!  Dinner is ready in less than 30 minutes!

I’ve tried a lot of different frozen Chinese food.  And InnovAsian is the closest to what I get at a restaurant.  All of their varieties offer some seriously bold and flavorful Asian sauces.  The chicken is all-white meat and always tender on the inside and super crispy on the outside.  InnovAsian says they are “Asian for every occasion,” and I couldn’t agree more!  My Taco Tuesday just got amped up a lot because of InnovAsian!

The awesome folks at InnovAsian want to get you just as excited about their yummy products as I am, so they are offering an amazing giveaway!  Three winners (US only) will each score an InnovAsian prize package worth approximately $50 in value!  Check out the goodies you could win:
