iRULU 7" Android Tablet + Keyboard Case

I, Jeni, was sent the iRULU tablet with a keyboard case to review.  At just under $60, I honestly didn’t expect too much from it, but I was so wrong!  I absolutely love it.  It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, is pretty fast, compatible with almost every app I wanted to download (otherwise similar apps were offered the iRULU site), keeps battery for about 4-5 hours, and I didn’t experience any lags or delays in using it with apps or the internet.  All in all, this is a great little tablet for the price.

The sleek design and beautiful blue color really caught my attention.  I love how lightweight it is, and even after I accidentally dropped it on the fireplace, it withstood any scratches!  That’s good to know, considering I’m really, really clumsy.  I also like that the SD slot allows you to add more storage, should you want it.  It comes pre-installed with popular apps like Gmail, Google Play, YouTube, Google Maps and more.  In fact, this was so easy to set up, I had it up and running within 6 minutes, after charging it for about half a day!  The camera has a front/back lens – perfect for selfies or taking pictures on the go.  The camera is Front 0.3MP and Back 2.0MP – so not the most awesome quality, but it does the job, and is a nice replacement when you don’t have a phone or actual camera.

The case is really pretty, too.  This is one stylish keyboard case! It has a wired keyboard and so many more great features.  I love that the keyboard is wired – although most people might be used to a Bluetooth keyboard.  This saves me the frustration of having to fight with a Bluetooth connection, as I often have to do, and allows me to use the tablet when I need it.  The keyboard is small – but I had no trouble typing as I normally do.  It took a little getting used to, but soon, my pudgy fingers found the keys they needed by memory pretty easily!

The case becomes a functional stand for your tablet, as well, which is really convenient and fun.  Whether you have the keyboard hooked up, or want to use the tablet on its own, you can leave it in the case, and keep it looking great, plus give it some extra protection.  The magnetic closure on the case is also great, because I don’t have to worry about zipping anything or snapping it shut to be sure my tablet stays inside.  In fact, it also features some clasps on the sides to hold the tablet in place!

For under $60, you really can’t go wrong with this iRULU X1S 7″ Google Android 4.4 KitKat Tablet PC, GMS Certified by Google, 1024*600 HD Resolution, Quad Core, Dual Cameras, 16GB Nand Flash, Blue Tablet with Blue Keyboard Case.  Overall, I’m really impressed and happy with it, and think it’s a great tablet for travel, students, occasional use when you need to stay connected to the internet, and for kids that need something not too fancy or expensive, but great quality that will function like you need an Android tablet to function.

  1. Wow that is a steal for under $60! Can’t beat that! My nephew’s birthday is coming up and he said he wants a tablet… I am definitely considering this one now. Thank you Jen!
