It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to brush off the stress, negativity and blah of your week.  Enjoy some mid-week mixers with us without leaving the comfort of your home.  Uncork your favorite wine, pop open a beer, mix your favorite cocktail…. and unwind with us this evening.  And, if you’re feeling extra perky in the mornings, or need some help getting a jump on your day, join us for Morning Coffee weekday mornings, too!

Yummy treats and random chit-chat starts our Happy Hour together!

How cute are these Mini Lasagnas? Cute and very clever… especially when you use them as an appetizer at a party! Wonton wrappers replace the noodles, and muffin tins replace the long cooking time in the oven. Plus, who doesn’t love lasagna?  FYI  – this fun recipe has ricotta in it, so it’s pretty legit!

What’s your favorite mini food?

Remember the Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine?  Guess what!?  Don’t guess-  I (Jeni) will just tell you 😉  R.L. Stine has a new series of books based on……*drum roll* …. Garbage Pail Kids!  It’s silly to pretend like I’m surprising you, when the image is right there above this.  HAHA!  READ MORE

Did you collect Garbage Pail Kids?

Apricot Cheesecake Cookie Cups!  YESSSS!!!  This recipe is much more simple than you would expect – plus, you can change up the fruity flavoring in it easily!  Such a springtime & summery treat, isn’t it?

What are your favorite fruity flavored desserts?

This is a legit product, you guys.  You can score yourself a candle that smells like a puppy.  WHAAAAT?  That sweet puppy smell in candle form!  The things they can do with candles now….

What scent would you like in a candle?

This might just melt your heart.  It’s a cute collection of Daddy images – showing what really being a dad is like. Every image made us smile.  We hope you get some good giggles and warm fuzzies in your heart from them, too!

What’s your favorite dad memory?

This book, The Break-Up Journal: Break Up Without The Break Down, is absolutely brilliant.  If you have friends that are going through a break up, first, give lots of hugs.  Next, bring ice cream. And last -get them this book.  It’s like a Wreck This Journal – but specifically for the breakup you’re going through.

Would this have helped with your last breakup?

Uhhhhh this is A-DOR-A-BLE! It’s a Mini Desktop Air Humidifier, but looks more like a tiny world!  It lights up, making it even cuter – but that tiny bunny, mushroom and succulent plants have me (Jeni) swooning!

What entertaining items do you keep on your desk?

Try a fun, new adult beverage this week, or save the recipes for parties with friends!

Whaaaaattt?  This is a drink that’s singing my (Jeni) name!  It’s Mermaid Lemonade! I fancy myself a mermaid… which sounds crazy when I say it out loud!  Blue Curacao, white rum, lemonade, lemons and cherries make this drink.  Mmmmm I’m ready to get my fin wet!  ????

Strawberry Shortcake Mimosas.  This makes me (Sarah) want to gather the girlfriends together and go out to brunch.  Or… just sit around the house in my underwear, while I sip on this yummy treat.  Either way, I’d be happy with this awesome drink! 😉

What’s your favorite fun beverage?

What’s Happy Hour without getting all that negativity out of your system? Get it out and let it go!

Ok.  I (Sarah) don’t dye my hair.  I don’t get crazy with it, like, ever.  But that’s ok.  And it’s ok if you’re on the other end of the spectrum, too!  But PLEASE don’t name a hair trend after one of the greatest toys of my childhood!  This new trend is called, “My Little Pony” hair.  First – No.  Stop.  Second – HOW is this even remotely like My Little Pony hair??  It’s just different colors fading into other colors.  It could just as well be called mermaid hair or unicorn hair!  Why give it a name that has nothing to do with it!?  UGH!

Do you dye your hair with new trending styles?

I (Jeni) am in my early ’40s.  I’m a kid at heart, but DANG….. I wanna be a kid at HEART – not get everything that comes along with being an actual kid again!  I have zits. And OMG they are ANNOYING!  I workout a lot, so I sweat a lot.  But I do what I can to take care of my face.  And my face just smirks, then laughs manically at me and scoffs at my attempts to thwart the acne.  And it always comes back.  I’m too old for this $%*@!!

Do you struggle with healthy skin?

Your drink should be kicking in by now, so let’s have some giggles together!

Ok, friends, it’s time to shut down Happy Hour and get back to reality! But first, grab that last bargain drink, and check out some limited time deals and treat yourself this week to something special! You deserve it!

Treat  yo self! 🙂

$8.99 for this ADORABLE lit unicorn.  LOVE!

How adorable is this Retro Tin Wall Decor? This is such a fun addition to any kitchen where cooking brings the family together!  Love it!

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is on sale for just $14.99 right now!

This Golden Girls Thank You For Being A Friend book is currently just $11.88!  It looks super cute, too!

Have a great rest of your week!  See you tomorrow for Morning Coffee!

Garbage Pail kids were life when I was younger. I would collect the stickers and trading cards. My sister has a ton right now.

  5. I really enjoy checking out this post. The lasagna minis would be perfect for my next gathering. I know my guess would love them.

  6. I can’t believe Garbage Pail Kids are coming back in a book. They were so big when I was in elementary school. My parents hated them, which I think made me like them even more. 🙂

Garbage Pail Kids always used to give me the creeps. I love them though; so much fun to collect.

  11. I have always wanted to do unicorn/mermaid hair coloring – but I don’t want the upkeep. I don’t see that as my little pony hair either.

  12. I still have my Garbage Pail Kids cards! I knew they would be relevant again sometime!

  13. I want the Mini Lasagnas. Such a cute idea. And I’ll take the little mushroom humidifier.
