Here’s a quick, easy and delicious dinner for those on a budget, without a lot of time! This Cheesy Beef & Rice Skillet only takes about 30 minutes to make, and is comfort food at it’s best. Even better, it calls for ingredients that are most likely already in your kitchen! Mix up your rice selection, and add in some extra flavoring to make this dish your own.
1 pound ground beef
1 box flavored rice (we used Rice A Roni Chicken & Broccoli)
1 can pinto beans
2 tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup frozen or canned corn
In a large skillet, brown ground beef. While beef is cooking, prepare rice according to package in another pan. Drain beef and return to pan. Add 1 can drained pinto beans and 1 cup corn. Sprinkle Worchestershire sauce over mixture. Cover, and let cook on medium-low until warmed through. Add cheddar cheese to meat mixture, and mix until melted. Add rice to meat mixture, stirring until well combined. Serve hot, and enjoy! Add your favorite hot sauce to kick it up a notch.
