This week, we had great conversations about Marie Kondo, experienced exciting Disney news, tried a LEGO designer, ate cheeseburger sloppy joes, and had an amazing week with you guys!
Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), sit back, and chill out for a bit with us this morning! We’re so happy you joined us for our morning coffee! We’ll meet you every weekday morning, right here on the blog, around 8am CST (6am PST, 9am EST) to share a cup of joe with you, talk about what’s on our minds, sneak in some awesome deals we spot, talk about our meal plans for the day, and anything else that comes up! Feel free to chat it up in the comment section, and tell us how you’re feeling, what’s going on with your life, current events, things you’re excited about or bummed out about, and anything else you want to chit-chat about.
Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting with our Morning Coffee!
I (Jeni) woke up disappointed this morning. After my workout, shower and first cup of coffee, I was hoping it would fade, but it hasn’t. UGH! Two years ago, there was an announcement (HERE) that a new show called, Silver Foxes” might be coming out. It would be special, because it would feature four gay men living together and the struggles of dating, relationships, aging and family – just like Golden Girls! You know I love my Golden Girls. Plus, it would be two of the Golden Girls writers that would write for this new show.
And 2 years later… nothing. No news, no show, no decision not to move forward or whispers of a show in the making… just nothing. That drives me CRAZY! Do I just give up hope? Do I take this as an “it’s never gonna happen” moment!?
Again, I say, “UGH!”
Have you been excited about a possible movie or show that disappeared?
This is my (Sarah’s) favorite place in the entire world, the La Jolla’s Children’s Pool. The seals flock to this beach because there is a wall that separates the beach from the open ocean (and the sharks).
I got the greatest photo of a seal mid yawn on a rock that I’ve already blown up to use as my computer wallpaper. California has a lot of amazing animal destinations, but this is one of my favorite less crowded places to spend an afternoon.
Do you have a favorite place in your town to take in the beauty of nature? What type of animal(s) do you like to observe the most?
I (Jeni) have these stackable cooling racks for baking. They are great, but annoying to fold up and put away one by one. I just found this amazing Betty Crocker 3-tier Cooling Rack and fell in love. It’s only $14.21 and I NEED IT! 🙂
This 8-pack of Galaxy Stud Earrings is just $10.99 and so unique!
Turn your sweet little kitty or small dog into a ferocious lion with this fun lion costume! It’s under $10 and absolutely hilarious!
These are Sketch n Sniff Gel Crayons. I (Sarah) had never heard of them before, but now I’m intrigued! This is the spring scent pack (Bubble Gum, Sour Apple, Jelly Bean, Cotton Candy, and Tutti Frutti), but there’s also a holiday pack, and summer scent pack, too! Each is only $6.99.
This Bacon Jerky that I (Sarah) recently found at World Market is one of my new favorite snack foods. It’s hickory smoked and so delicious. The only problem is it’s a 3 ounce package and I usually have to share with my boyfriend.
What are your favorite snack foods?
I (Sarah) am loving these “when pigs fly” socks. They are so cute and the fact that they are purple (one of my two favorite colors) makes them even more adorable.
Do you have a favorite pair of socks?
My (Jeni) ex-husband once told me when we were dating, that he liked the way my mouth moved when I talked. I thought that was really weird, but sweet. But still… weird. LOL!
What about you?
These are absolutely amazing, and genius! Spiroglypics: Music Icons are awesome for someone that wants a break from their coloring book, needs a new hobby or loves art in general! Check out the description:
Thomas Pavitte, best-selling author of the 1000 Dot-to-Dot and Querkles series, has created a new type of mind-bending graphic puzzle in Spiroglypics: Music Icons. At first, all you see are simple spirals, but when you look a little closer and start to color between the lines, you’ll see the face of a music icon begin to take shape–and when you’re finished, you’ll want to hang your masterpiece on the wall. This remarkable collection of 20 puzzles features music legends such as Elvis Presley, Madonna, David Bowie, and Tina Turner. Put on some of your favorite music, grab a felt-tip pen, and transform a set of simple lines into an amazing work of art!
Would you do the spiroglypics puzzles?
OMG! If you’ve ever wanted to make your own gummy bears – here’s your chance!! These Gummy Bear Molds can be used to make candies, chocolates, soaps… anything you can imagine! Plus, HERE are two great options for making them. These recipes include making gummy bears with fruit juice and honey or with Jell-O!
That, friends, is a bacon cheeseburger sloppy Joe. I (Jeni) got the recipe from Taste of Home, and can’t wait to dig into these tonight! We’re having some friends with kids come over for dinner, and what kid doesn’t love sloppy Joe!?!?
What meals do your kids enjoy?
Don’t forget to join us every Wednesday evening at 4pm EST for Happy Hour!
