This week, we had great conversations about 80s toys then and now, experienced help for junk mail, tried vodka popsicles, ate low calorie snacks, and had an amazing week with ALL OF YOU!

Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), sit back, and chill out for a bit with us this morning!  We’re so happy you joined us for our morning coffee!  We’ll meet you every weekday morning, right here on the blog, around 8am CST (6am PST, 9am EST) to share a cup of joe with you, talk about what’s on our minds, sneak in some awesome deals we spot, talk about our meal plans for the day, and anything else that comes up!  Feel free to chat it up in the comment section, and tell us how you’re feeling, what’s going on with your life, current events, things you’re excited about or bummed out about, and anything else you want to chit-chat about.

Now….refill that coffee and let’s get to chatting with our Morning Coffee!

I (Jeni) absolutely LOVE vinyl.  My record collection is growing nicely and I am always SO excited to find more!  This morning, I woke up thinking about my current collection, and had trouble deciding which record to listen to while I made my coffee!  I always play a record, after my workout and shower, while I getting the day started.  It’s fun to dance to the music and get me in a happy mood for work!

These are just a few of my favorite records…although, ALL of my vinyl is my favorite! 🙂  As you can see, I’m an 80s fanatic. That’s not a surprise if you’re  regular here on Morning Coffee, obviously.  But then, I also have some Sinatra, Herbie Mann, and some other more obscure artists.  It’s quite eclectic, like I would guess many people’s music choices are, too! I would really like to also collect those Picture Disc records from the 80s, too.

What do you collect?

Do you love movies but don’t want to pay for Amazon Prime or Netflix?  I (Sarah) have three great websites to tell you about, that let you watch movies free with advertising. The advertising is minimal compared to television commercials.
The first choice is Vudu and they have movies separated into categories. It’s easy to find what you are looking for.
80s movies, full seasons of television shows, and even children’s movies make up their selection.
The second place is YouTube. The selection is smaller than Vudu’s, and it’s harder to find what you are looking for. The ads are pretty minimum (no worse than television).
IMDB is the third choice, they have a pretty good selection of free movies and television shows that are supported by advertising. Includes television shows from Gilligan’s Island to Heroes, the Bachelor to Tiny House Nation, and many more. There is also a small selection of IMDB exclusive works.
How do you watch movies for free?

Who loves iced coffee!?  This cold brew iced coffee maker is highly rated, and only $18.74 right now when you clip the coupon on the page! I (Jeni) am scoring one for myself this morning 🙂 🙂 🙂

I (Jeni) LOVE coffee and LOVE to bake.  Obviously.  My friend, Laurie, surprised me last week with a “just because” gift in the mail.  It was this awesome “I just want to drink coffee and bake things” t-shirt!  It’s just $19.99 and fits true to size.

Dog lovers will seriously fall for these adorable Dog Socks! The 4-pack is $14.99.  I (Sarah) know a lot of people that would adore these socks!

Um…YES!  Taco Tuesday gets amped up with this Taco Tuesday Book!  It has over 50 recipes to make your Taco Tuesday better and different every week.  mmmmmmmm!  Now I (Sarah) want some tacos.

Because…. it does! 😉  This coffee makes me poop is an awesome mug for any coffee lover with a silly sense of humor!

Do you have mug that’s perfect for you?

These are AMAZING!  They are Rocking Monster Toys, and come in three types:  ghost,  octopus, and shark.  They are all super safe and well-balanced, made for kids 3-4 feet tall.  These are certainly more unique than the classic rocking horse, that’s for sure!

Do your kids have ride-on toys?

Well, I (Jeni) just got a 14! Is that pretty high….or low?  Who knows.  I just know what I like and what I don’t! 🙂

What number did you get?

Netflix is working on a 13-part animated series… Green Eggs & Ham.  Yep, from Dr. Seuss’s classic.  Ellen DeGeneres is producing it, and it has a star-studded cast of the voices for the characters. It’s actually been in the works for over 3 years, but will finally be released in the fall of 2019.

Will you watch?
Check out these LEGO Series 2 Wizard of Oz characters!  I (Sarah) absolutely love the detail they put into these.
Are you a Wizard of Oz or LEGO fan?

Seriously, you cannot go wrong with these amazing Carrot Cake Donuts!  The cream cheese icing is out of this world… although you could always use canned frosting, too.  Either way, they are moist, delicious and absolutely AMAZING for a Sunday brunch!

What’s your favorite brunch menu item?

  1. I love vinyl too! I bought my daughter a record player a few years ago and she collects vinyl from back in my day. I love it!

  2. Love the giggles. We still have our old stereo set with a turntable upstairs but have not bought any vinyl in years. Those donuts do look yummy.
