Tastes Like Christmas Fudge Recipe

There are specific flavors that really capture Christmas.  Gingerbread, pumpkin, eggnog, peppermint…. but there’s one thing that got my boyfriend saying, “That tastes like Christmas!”  It’s this fudge that we created and aptly named, Tastes Like Christmas Fudge!  We based it off of a few other recipes that each included a mixture of two of the ingredients we used.  We took out what we didn’t like, added more of what we did like, got creative by combining some, and there you have it! It’s a super sweet, easy to make fudge that features the combination of marshmallows, semisweet chocolate, butterscotch and peanut butter.  Combine those, and you have something so uniquely flavorful that it encompasses everything wonderful about the holiday season.  And it really does “taste like Christmas.”

What you need:

  • 1 bag mini marshmallows (10.5 ounces)
  • 1 package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 package butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon mini semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Make it:

Grab a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and line it with tin foil.  Make sure you have excess foil coming off the long sides (so you can use that to pull the entire pan of fudge out of the pan when it’s done).  Grease it with Pam cooking spray or butter, covering all edges.  Empty the entire bag of marshmallows into the pan and spread them out to cover the bottom evenly.

In a saucepan over LOW heat, melt the package of regular sized semisweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, AND peanut butter.  Get ready to fall in love, because as it heats, you’ll start smelling it! Stir constantly until it’s all melted consistently through.  Pour it over the marshmallows in the pan.

Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.  Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.  Take out of fridge and sift powdered sugar overall of the fudge.  Using the foil edges, pull it out of the pan and cut into squares.  This makes about 3 dozen.  You’ll want to cut it into 1-2 bite small squares, because it’s super rich and sweet.

Enjoy the flavor of Christmas!!  🙂  Come on back here and let us know if you make this recipe!  We’d love to hear about your results!
