The Binder Ladies were given the mentioned product(s) and possibly compensated for this post.  All opinions are our own.

Two things that rarely go together – underwear and making a difference in the world – are the inspiration behind Marc Skid. Sounds a bit silly, right? That’s the point! When Dan Barry founded the brand, he believed that companies should be able to laugh at themselves, all while living with purpose, integrity and strong character.

Marc Skid is an eco-friendly underwear brand, featuring the world’s finest organic pima cotton and a recycled plastic water bottle.  Yep – you read that correctly! How cool is THAT!? Along with the incredible undies, it gives back to people around the world. Barry believes that something as simple as high-quality underwear can make a difference in the world. Underwear is essential for almost everyone, and with every single purchase, Marc Skid gives back $4 per pair to global charities. They’re changing the world for the better, one pair of undies at a time! That’s how they got their slogan, “Make Your Marc on the World.”

So, how does it work? The buying experience is honestly uplifting, exciting, and inspiring. First, pick your color by choosing your charity. To SAVE the world, pick blue. To CURE the world, go for red. And the FEED the world, you’ll choose green undies. If you can’t decide, just pick the white underwear and have your choice at any charity.

Next, grab your favorite style for men or women. There are bikini briefs and hipsters for women, and boxer briefs for men. Check those out – aren’t they stylish and fun!?  Plus that waistband is so unique – featuring all three of the charitable colors. On the back of each pair you’ll see a beautiful patch signifying the “Marc” you made on the world, specific to your choice.

Finally, you’ll select one of the charities Marc Skid has partnered with, relating to your choice in saving, curing or feeding the world. Worried about leaving a cause out? They have a deal for three pairs ($2 off per pair) so you don’t miss a cause close to your heart. The nine charities with which Marc Skid partners are: Amazon Conservation Association, Carbon Fund, Water.org, Action Against Hunger, feedONE, The Hunger Project, Catholic Medical Mission Board, Concern Foundation, and Project C.U.R.E.  All of these are credible, 4-star charities.

I’m honestly in love with these underwear…and this company. In fact, as I write this, I have on a pair of the hipsters I purchased.  TMI? Too bad – I’m saving the world! 🙂  These are incredibly soft and offer a great stretch to them.  In fact, they stay still.  They don’t shift, ride up or cut off my circulation. The colors are super vibrant and even after washing each pair 3 times now, they haven’t faded in the least.  I’m not exaggerating when I say these are now my favorite undies. Every time I put a pair on, I remember those charities, and somehow, a little pair of underwear inspires me.

Most definitely!!! Dan is a wonderful man with a huge heart and big vision … and a sense of humor! The quality of the underwear is AMAZING, too.

  3. What a wonderful concept. I am a huge recycler and these are totally up my alley (ha ha get it). And you get to pick the color for the charity – I must say I am impressed. Gonna have to get some of these for Christmas gifts. Kuddos to Marc.

Girl – seriously. They are SO soft and comfy! I can’t believe they don’t ride up! Plus… the water bottle aspect is just too neat!

  5. What a fun way to give back. It is not the typical way of buying undies. Aside from just picking the colors, one will have to consider its purpose as well. This would make me really think which charity I’d like to support.

    • Jeni Hawkins Reply

I totally agree with you, Ruth! It’s a really unique way to show support, give back to the world, AND get necessities like undies!

  6. Interesting! Love that they support charity, but the way they make them really has me intrigued!
