Mike and Theo are just two guys living the (Korean) American Dream. After seeing how their friends reacted to classic Korean cuisine at a restaurant, they had an idea. They could use Theo’s Grandma’s secret gochujang recipe to bring Korean flavors to everyone.  So what IS gochujang? It’s a fermented chili paste with a tang and slow, savory burn. Sounds pretty awesome, right?

This secret recipe is 70 years old, and a cherished family secret – until now. Theo and Mike were able to recreate it, and call it KPOP Sauce. It’s sweet, tangy, and has a serious kick to it, just like Grandma made. This sauce is like no other, and it’s uses are endless.  Put it on eggs, hot wings, pizza, burritos, burgers, stir-fry, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches…. or use it as a dipping sauce for fresh veggies, french fries or chicken strips!

The sauce takes time to make. A LOT of time to make. Fermentation is not a quick process.  It’s this time that gives KPOP Sauce a super unique, deliciously fun flavor.

I love new, exciting and inventive flavors.  Although this is a timeless Korean sauce, I’d never had gochujang before. I watched the video, read about it and even talked to a Korean friend of mine that is very familiar with gochujang.  But nothing could have prepared me for what I tasted.  This stuff is AMAZING!  It’s sweet, tangy and spicy, all in one single sauce.  That kick is a slow burn that creeps in and took me by surprise! I tried it on my steak for dinner, and couldn’t wait for breakfast the next day. It gives boring scrambled eggs some serious personality, that’s for sure.

The KPOP Sauce isn’t the only way that Mike and Theo are brining Korean favorites to American households! KPOP Sea Snacks is the ocean’s answer to chips: crisp layers of organic seaweed that are lightly roasted and sprinkled with sea salt. So crisp and savory, you won’t believe it’s only 30 calories per pack.

If you’re creating gift baskets this holiday season, throw a few bottles of KPOP in them. Stuff some stocking with it, or just grab some to wrap up under the tree. You’ll also want to get some for yourself, while you’re at it! If you want a versatile sauce that can bring your food alive – give KPOP Sauce a shot!
