This past weekend we decided to completely redo the kids bedroom! They share a room, so they didn’t have a lot of room to move around. My husband and I decided to get them a bunk bed and transition their room from little girl to big girl. The room was completely remodeled (well except for painting the walls), put their gaming system in there, and got them a vanity. We ordered everything off of Amazon so pieces came sporadically. Well, today, we finally have all of their pieces, including their matching comforter sets and the girls couldn’t be happier. My oldest, Aubreigh, loves being on the top bunk because she says it makes her feel like she has her own little area. They have fought a little, but overall they are loving it.
Do your kids share a room? How do you make it work?
This year, my boyfriend and I (Jeni) have added a new tradition. We’re big on traditions, and this one is pretty dang fun! We found this Christmas Scavenger Hunt Game at a local toy store and started playing – but made our own rules for it. It’s a family game, and if you like traditions and games, you can grab it on Amazon, too. It comes with two decks of cards – Outdoor and Indoor. Your goal is to find the items on each card. It’s a scavenger hunt, so I don’t have to explain that part 🙂
We changed it so that we cannot use anything from our house, and we take 10 cards at a time (5 indoor and 5 outdoor). Once you find all ten items, you can grab another 10 cards. If we aren’t together when we find something on our cards, we take a picture and send it to each other for proof. The person that has the most completed cards by Christmas Eve morning, gets to open a present of their choice from under the tree, a day early! 🙂 🙂 🙂
It’s super fun. Last night we went to Target and found a lot of the things one our cards, either on the drive there or in-store. And we can be creative with it. I had “Halo” on one of mine. I searched EVERY Christmas decoration and EVERY holiday card and couldn’t find an angel (or anything else) with a dang halo. When we went to to food section, I grabbed a Halo Top ice cream and and said, “HALO!” Point for Jeni! Same with “something with wings.” On the drive there, we passed Wing Stop. BOOM. Something with wings. Point for Jeni! 🙂 It’s a lot of fun and I’m so happy we found the game!!
Do you have any fun holiday traditions that are new?

Star Wars fans! The Star Wars Complete Saga (6 movies) is on Blu-Ray for just $49.9 right now! This is HUGE savings…and makes a great gift!
This 6-Piece Calphalon Bakeware Set is just $15.39 right now – SWEET!!
I (Jeni) don’t think I’ve ever loved a piece of electronics more than my Echo Dot. It’s AMAZING! And right now, it’s only $29.99 (regularly $49.99)! If you need a great gift idea – this is an awesome choice!
I, Michelle, am addicted to as seen on TV products. I saw this stuff called a Morph Toy the other day, which is this playdough type stuff that you can leave out, remold, do whatever with! Plus, the more you use it, the fluffier it gets! As much as I say I would purchase this for my kids, we all know that I would play with it!
Jeni reviewed this for our Holiday Gift Guide – read about it HERE!
Have you heard of this?
Leggings!! I, Michelle, am obsessed with leggings. I have tried some before that I purchased at Walmart, but they just weren’t comfy and they showed every little bit of cellulite my thunder thighs have. Well, I am one to support any friend with a direct sales type business (I sell Younique) so when a friend supports me, I support them. I tried Lularoe leggings and I am obsessed. They hide everything!!
Have you tried LuLaRoe?
I (Jeni) am not big on candy and don’t eat it much…. unless it’s See’s Candies. But I saw these limited edition Dum Dums in the store last night and had to grab a bag! Look at those yummy flavors: S’mores, Caramel Apple, Peach Tea, Lemon Shake Up, Cotton Candy, Banana Split, Funnel Cake and Strawberry Milkshake! I tried the Funnel Cake and Banana Split last night….and oh my YUM!
What’s your favorite candy?
OMG OMG! Could mittens get any cuter? A friend send me a link to these Hedgehog Mittens and I (Jeni) melted! They look so warm and cozy… plus, they are freaking hedgehogs!!!
What animal mittens would you like?
Believe it or not – that picture is of a Starbucks. In fact, it’s the biggest Starbucks outlet and it’s in Shanghai. It’s 30,000 square feet, has three coffee bars (one is the longest in the world at 88 feet), a 3D printed tea bar, Italian bakery and is super techy, too. Read more about it HERE!
Who wants to go to Shanghai with us!? 😉
Admittedly, I (Jeni) am not a big fan of Oreo cookies. I know – I’m a rare breed. But these Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreos that are coming next year look seriously awesome, don’t they!? I am not sure how they can really get the peanut butter pie flavor – other than making these peanut butter cookies with chocolate…..but I’m willing to try!
What flavors of Oreo Cookies have you tried and liked?
Tonight, I (Jeni) am making something new for me. Chicken Pot Pie. I found this recipe on my favorite recipe site, Taste of Home and am trying it out tonight! My boyfriend LOVES chicken pot pie and he’s been working hard, so this is a treat for him…and for me since I love making new dishes!
How do you make chicken pot pie? Any suggestions for me?
