What is more fun for the holidays than a fun and festive mixed drink? We don’t know about you, but living in the south, Everclear and Moonshine are hugely popular at holiday gatherings as well as giving as a gift. Luxco was founded back in 1958, and quickly became the number one provider for wholesalers and retailers for Premium Alcohol Supplies. Luxco is the main supplier for many of the top brands of liquor, including Everclear.

I, Michelle, had the opportunity to check out Everclear by Luxco. This isn’t a brand that is new to me, and it is always so fun to make drinks and our own version of Moonshine out of it (don’t hand make moonshine! Not only is it dangerous but it is illegal). When I had the opportunity to try it out for our Gift Ideas, there was no way I was going to say no! Everclear is made from grain and is bottled at 151 and 190 US Proof. This is not something you would want to drink on its own, while it doesn’t have a strong smell, the alcohol content more than makes up for it. My favorite thing to make with it is Apple Pie Moonshine.

For Apple Pie Moonshine, you mix in 1 cup of apple juice, 1 cup of apple cider, 1 cinnamon stick, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and a good sprinkle of nutmeg. Combine everything but the cinnamon stick on a stove and bring to a boil. Once it is boiling, remove and add in 1 cup of Everclear. Place your cinnamon stick in your jar and let sit for 2 weeks. This will make two mason jars.

While Everclear has a strong taste on its own, when you mix it with different juices or mixes, the taste of Everclear is almost gone, which makes it the perfect base for making your own moonshine, which is hugely popular on Pinterest right now. Along with moonshine, you can switch out vodka in your favorite mixed drinks for a twist! Everclear is available in most states. Bring a bottle to your next holiday gathering!
