Recipe: Quick & Easy Cola Chicken with Rice!

This Cola Chicken recipe is so good! I use boneless chicken thighs, and serve over rice. I also double the recipe for the sauce, because my family loves to top the rice with it, too! This is all made in a skillet, which makes clean-up super quick and simple. ENJOY!

  • 8 boneless chicken thighs (or use bone-in any cut of chicken)
  • 1 (12 oz) can of cola (regular, diet, or mix it up with Cherry Coke!)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 small chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook just until browned on each side (about 5 minutes).  Combine all other ingredients in a bowl, and pour over the chicken.  Bring to a boil, then reduce head to medium low and cover.  Let simmer about 15 minutes.  Remove lid and simmer another 30 minutes, checking that chicken is cooked through.  Serve over rice.

  1. This is an awesome recipe called Cola Chicken. I need to make this easy recipe. I bet it tastes delicious. I like that it uses a cheaper cut of chicken.
